Formlabs Form 4B — Technical data

The Form 4B is the healthcare version of the Form 4 and is aimed at dental labs, practices and clinics. The hardware matches the Form 4: Low Force Display exposure with 60 LEDs and 50 µm pixels, a 20.0 × 12.5 × 21.0 cm build volume, layer thicknesses from 25 to 200 µm and a 480 W power rating. It is released for 38 Formlabs resins, 15 of them biocompatible, for example for models, splints, surgical guides and temporary restorations; third-party resins run in Open Material Mode. The Form 4B arrived in April 2024 together with the Form 4 and replaced the Form 3B+.

For a used Form 4B, the records matter as much as the condition of the LPU and glass surfaces: maintenance, tank changes and separate tanks for biocompatible resins. The built-in camera is used for remote monitoring – check that it works. Have the printer removed from the seller's Dashboard and Fleet Control and clarify whether warranty or service plan can be transferred. Second-generation Form Wash and Form Cure are matched to the Form 4B and complete a package.
