Farsoon SS403P — Technical data

The SS403P sat between the HS403P and HT403P in the first 403P generation. According to Farsoon's 2022 data sheet it uses a 55 W CO₂ laser, scans at up to 10 m/s and reaches a maximum chamber temperature of 190 °C. The build cylinder measures 400 × 400 × 450 mm, optionally 540 mm high, with layers of 0.06 to 0.3 mm. It processes polyamides, PP and TPU, including the Farsoon powders FS3300PA and FS1092A-TPU. It was replaced by the SS403P-H with a new housing and, according to the current manufacturer page, a more powerful laser.

On the used market the SS403P is a comparatively affordable way into large-format sintering. Before buying, have the laser output measured and ask about the age of the CO₂ source, as replacement is costly. Equally important are the condition of recoater, heaters and optics, any exchangeable cylinders included and proof of the last service.
