Farsoon FS812M — Technical data

The FS812M is a large-format Farsoon metal system for series production of metre-long parts. The build cylinder measures 840 × 840 × 1,700 mm, with 810 × 810 × 1,700 mm usable. Depending on the version, eight or ten 500 W fibre lasers or ten 1,000 W lasers with beam shaping are fitted. The machine is 6.5 m high and weighs around 23 t; according to the trade press it needs 41 % less floor space than its predecessor despite the greater build height. The system includes an enclosed breakout station with glove ports and a multi-layer gas flow. Target industries are aerospace, oil and gas, energy and automotive.

Used FS812M machines hardly exist yet given the young series; with any offer, logistics come first: hall height, foundation, crane and access for transport modules. Technically, laser configuration, calibration, laser hours, filters and gas flow should be documented. An inert gas demand of 12–15 l/min and a connection of up to 114 A require capable infrastructure. Settle warranty and service with Farsoon Europe by contract.
