Farsoon FS811M — Technical data

The FS811M is a large-format metal laser melting system that Farsoon introduced at TCT Asia 2024. Its build volume measures 840 × 840 × 960 mm, around 677 litres. Depending on the configuration, 6, 8, 10 or 12 fibre lasers of 500 W each are fitted; Farsoon quotes a build rate of up to 300 cm³/h. According to the trade press the machine grew out of a project with customers running several FS621M systems and targets larger parts and series. The system includes an enclosed breakout station with glove ports and a modular powder container system. Farsoon has since introduced the taller FS812M as its successor.

For a used FS811M, first clarify the laser configuration, as it defines productivity and value. Then come calibration records of the overlap zones, laser hours, filter system, gas flow and recoater. The breakout station and powder container system should be part of the scope of supply. For installation, transport and commissioning of a machine this size, coordination with Farsoon Europe is essential.
