Farsoon FS721M-H-8-CAMS — Technical data

The FS721M-H-8-CAMS is the tall version of the FS721M CAMS. Its build cylinder measures 720 × 420 × 650 mm, offering around two thirds more build height than the FS721M-8-CAMS. Eight 1,000 W fibre lasers with beam shaping allow layers of up to 0.2 mm, raising the build rate on large parts. The machine weighs about 8.5 t and measures 5,300 × 3,320 × 3,100 mm. Like the flat version it uses a conveyor system, exchangeable cylinders, a closed powder circuit and permanent filtration for almost continuous operation. Stainless steel, titanium and aluminium are released, with further alloys in development.

Before buying a used FS721M-H-8-CAMS, clarify which parameter sets for thick beam shaping layers are available, as without them part of the performance goes unused. Check laser hours and calibration of all eight lasers, permanent filter, gas flow, recoater and the CAMS conveyor. Transport and installation require heavy-load planning; add a connection of up to 80 A and inert gas supply.
