Farsoon FS721M-8-CAMS — Technical data

The FS721M-8-CAMS is the slimmer of the two CAMS versions of the FS721M. Eight 1,000 W fibre lasers expose a 720 × 420 × 390 mm build cylinder; at only 1,550 mm wide and around 4.5 t, the machine integrates into production lines in little space. At the heart of the CAMS concept are a conveyor system and exchangeable cylinders, so unpacking and setup take place outside the build chamber and the machine is rarely idle; a closed powder circuit and permanent filtration complete it. Farsoon targets series production in automotive and in tool and mould making. The FS721M-H-8-CAMS offers more build height.

For a used FS721M-8-CAMS, completeness of the system counts: conveyor, exchangeable cylinders and unpacking station should be present and working. Eight lasers need current calibration data for the overlap zones and operating hours per source. Permanent filter, gas flow, recoater and sensors are checked as well. A connected load of up to 80 A, inert gas demand of 6–8 l/min and a concept for aluminium and titanium powders belong in the planning.
