Farsoon FS621M-U-6 — Technical data

The FS621M-U-6 is the tallest version of the FS621M series: its build cylinder measures 620 × 620 × 1,700 mm, which Farsoon describes as 1.7 m build height. Six 500 W fibre lasers expose the build area, with layers between 0.02 and 0.1 mm. The machine is around 5.5 m high, weighs about 15 t and needs a 6.2 × 5.2 m footprint. It is intended for very long parts in aerospace and the oil and gas industry. Compared with the FS621M-4 and -6 it offers just over 50 % more build height.

Used, the FS621M-U-6 only makes sense for companies that meet the installation requirements: hall height, crane, foundation and transport access are the first questions. Then come laser hours, calibration, filters, gas flow and the mechanics of the long lift travel. At full build height large amounts of powder are moved, so design powder handling, explosion protection and argon or nitrogen supply carefully. Service from Farsoon Europe should be secured.
