Farsoon FS621M-4 — Technical data

The FS621M-4 is the four-laser base version of Farsoon's large-format FS621M series. The build cylinder measures 620 × 620 × 1,100 mm, and four 500 W fibre lasers or optionally four 1,000 W lasers with beam shaping expose the powder bed. The machine weighs around eight tonnes and needs a footprint of about 5.9 × 4.4 m at almost 4 m height. Farsoon aims the series at aerospace, oil and gas and energy, where large parts in nickel alloys, titanium or stainless steel are needed. Within the series there is the same build height with six lasers (FS621M-6) and the Pro-6 and U-6 versions with larger build volumes.

A used FS621M-4 requires thorough planning: transport, crane or heavy-load rollers, foundation and ceiling height must be clarified. Technically, check laser hours, laser option, overlap calibration, filters, gas flow and recoater. The argon or nitrogen demand of 8–10 l/min and the large powder quantities call for suitable infrastructure including explosion protection. Agree service support from Farsoon Europe in advance.
