Farsoon FS421M — Technical data

The FS421M was Farsoon's larger first-generation metal system with a 425 × 425 × 420 mm build volume. According to reseller data it came with one or two 500 W fibre lasers, a digital three-axis galvo system reaching 15.2 m/s and build plate heating up to 200 °C. At around 3.5 t and with a 2,700 × 1,290 mm footprint, it was intended for larger parts in nickel alloys, titanium, aluminium or stainless steel, for example in turbines and aerospace. Farsoon now offers the FS422M as the second generation, with the same build area, more height and four lasers.

For a used FS421M, clarify whether the single- or dual-laser version is on offer and whether the build plate heating works, as it matters for crack-prone alloys. Also check laser hours, scanner, filters, gas tightness and recoater. As the model is discontinued, spare parts and service availability through Farsoon Europe, transferable software licences and a complete service history are decisive for the price.
