Farsoon FS402P — Technical data

The FS402P, also called the Farsoon 402 in the trade press, is an early Farsoon polymer laser sintering system from before the 403P series. According to a 2014 report it uses a 100 W CO₂ laser and a galvo scanner with dynamic focusing reaching 12.7 m/s. The build volume is given as 400 × 400 × 450 mm and the layer thickness as 0.08 to 0.3 mm. It processes powders with a melting point below 190 °C, including PA12, PA11 and resin sand for foundry applications. It was controlled with the ALL STAR software on Windows XP. It followed the Farsoon 401.

A used FS402P is by now an older machine, where spare parts and software maintenance are the main risks. Before buying, clarify whether Farsoon Europe still supports the machine and whether the Windows XP control PC can be operated securely. Check laser output, heaters, recoater and seals thoroughly and compare the dimensions with the installation site.
