Farsoon FS350M-4 — Technical data

The FS350M-4 is a four-laser metal system that Farsoon designs for economical series production of medium-sized parts. The build cylinder measures 433 × 358 × 400 mm, with 425 × 350 × 400 mm usable. Four fibre lasers of 500 W each or, in the beam shaping version, 1,000 W each work in parallel, scanning at up to 10 m/s. With a 3,260 × 1,850 mm footprint and around 3.3 t, it is hardly larger than single-laser machines in this class. Target industries are tool and mould making, automotive and aerospace. Besides 316L and AlSi10Mg, titanium and the high-strength aluminium alloy AlMgSc are released. The FS350M-6 offers more lasers.

For a used FS350M-4, the laser configuration is the main value factor: 1,000 W beam shaping lasers allow thicker layers and higher build rates. Check the calibration of all four lasers, laser hours, filters and gas flow, recoater and oxygen sensors. The electrical connection depends on the configuration and can reach 80 A. With reactive powders, ATEX-compliant handling and filter changes must be planned.
