Farsoon FS273M-2 — Technical data

The FS273M-2 is the dual-laser version of the FS273M. Two 500 W fibre lasers, optionally 1,000 W each with beam shaping, work simultaneously in the 275 × 275 × 355 mm build cylinder; according to Farsoon this nearly doubles the build rate compared with the single-laser version. Housing, layer range of 0.02 to 0.1 mm, inert gas demand and material list match the FS273M. The machine suits companies producing medium-sized metal parts in titanium, aluminium, steel or nickel alloys in small series who want to cut machine hours per part.

On a used FS273M-2, the usual checks are joined by the alignment of both lasers: a current calibration record for the overlap zone is essential, otherwise seams and dimensional deviations may occur. Also check laser hours per source, filters, recoater, oxygen sensors and build plate heating. If the round cylinder option exists, ask whether it is included. Plan for a three-phase connection of up to 40 A, argon or nitrogen supply and explosion protection for powder handling.
