Farsoon FS200M-2 — Technical data

The FS200M-2 is a dual-laser metal system from Farsoon, introduced in 2022 as a mid-size model between the manufacturer's compact and large machines; press releases also call it the FS200M×2. Two 500 W fibre lasers expose a rectangular 425 × 230 × 300 mm build cylinder suited to elongated parts and densely packed build plates. Layer thickness ranges from 0.02 to 0.1 mm, and it works under argon or nitrogen. According to the trade press, the equipment includes a back-flush filter and a camera that checks every powder layer and repeats faulty recoats. 316L and AlSi10Mg were released, with further steels in development.

A used FS200M-2 should come with a calibration record for the overlap of the two lasers, plus the laser hours per source. Check filter and back-flushing, recoater, camera and oxygen sensors, as well as the cleaning state after the last material. The machine weighs around 2 t and needs 400 V at 25 A. Clarify in advance whether Farsoon Europe still supplies spare parts and updates for the model; the BuildStar and MakeStar licences should be transferable.
