Farsoon FS191M — Technical data

The FS191M is the compact metal laser melting system in Farsoon's current range. It builds on a round Ø 195 × 220 mm platform, optionally with small Ø 80 mm platforms for material trials or for build plate temperatures of up to 400 °C. A 500 W fibre laser, with optional beam shaping, and F-theta optics reach 10 m/s. With a 0.88 m² footprint, around 600 kg and a single-phase 30 A connection, it targets prototypes, small series, research and material development. Ti6Al4V, AlSi10Mg and CoCrMo are currently released, with further alloys up to tungsten and tantalum in development.

Used FS191M machines are still rare. When buying, clarify which platforms and options (beam shaping, high-temperature module) are actually present, as they define the range of use. Checkpoints are laser hours, filter cartridges, recoater, gas tightness and oxygen sensors. For titanium and aluminium powders, protective equipment and explosion protection in powder handling are mandatory; record warranty and licence transfer in writing.
