Farsoon FS1521M-U-32 — Technical data

The FS1521M-U-32 is the most productive version of the FS1521M series and thus the most powerful metal system in Farsoon's range. Thirty-two 500 W fibre lasers share a square 1,530 × 1,530 × 1,650 mm build cylinder, which considerably shortens the exposure time of large cross-sections compared with the 16-laser version. Housing of 13.75 × 6.53 × 6.95 m, weight of around 65 t, layers of 0.02 to 0.1 mm and material list match the FS1521M-U-16. The machine targets manufacturers producing very large titanium, nickel or aluminium parts in volume.

On a machine with 32 lasers, aligning the beam sources with each other is the most critical point: a complete, current calibration record and the operating hours of each laser are a prerequisite. Filters, gas flow across the large build area and recoater come on top. As with the 16-laser version, foundation, hall height, crane and infrastructure are the real purchase criteria; without support from Farsoon Europe, relocation is hardly feasible.
