Farsoon FS121M — Technical data

The FS121M is Farsoon's most compact metal system from the generation before 2023. A 300 or 500 W fibre laser exposes a 120 × 120 × 100 mm build volume, with layers between 0.02 and 0.08 mm. With a 780 × 1,000 mm footprint, around 700 kg and a single-phase 14 A connection, it can be installed in labs and smaller workshops. Farsoon lists steels, titanium, aluminium, nickel alloys, copper and cobalt-chrome as materials; as on all Farsoon systems, parameters are open. An economy version, the FS121M-E, was limited to 300 W and fewer materials. In the current range, the FS191M is Farsoon's compact metal system.

On a used FS121M, first clarify the laser power, as the 300 W and 500 W versions differ in material range. Filter condition, gas tightness of the chamber, recoater and protective glass are also important. Anyone planning to process titanium or aluminium needs a concept for reactive powders and filter disposal. Agree spare parts and software support for the older model with Farsoon Europe beforehand.
