ExOne S-Print Pro — Technical data
The S-Print Pro is ExOne's compact sand printing system for small and mid-sized foundries, pattern makers and print service providers. It builds moulds and cores from silica sand or specialty sands such as Cerabeads and silicon carbide, bound with furan resin, in a 1,200 × 750 × 500 mm job box (450 litres). According to the data sheet, layer thickness is adjustable from 0.1 to 1 mm, with 0.28 mm as standard; accuracy is ±0.5 mm. The platform shares its technology with the S-Max range but is designed for single-shift work, spare-part castings and small series, and needs less than 12 m² of floor space.
Used, the S-Print Pro is an entry into sand 3D printing for shops without room for a large system. Even so, it weighs four tonnes and needs three-phase power, exhaust and sand preparation. Check the printhead, recoater, mixer and job box as well as the XPrep licence. Maintenance logs and a trial run with your own sand provide reassurance. Spare parts come from ExOne, now part of ExOne Global Holdings.
