ExOne Exerial — Technical data
The Exerial is ExOne's series production system for sand cores and was introduced in 2015. Instead of one job box it works with two boxes of 2,200 × 1,200 × 700 mm each, processed at several stations in parallel so that printing, curing and removal run simultaneously. According to the data sheet it reaches 200 to 250 litres per hour at 0.3 mm layers. It is designed for inorganic binders, which produce low emissions in aluminium casting. The machine weighs more than eleven tonnes.
A used Exerial only pays off for foundries with genuine series volumes and a suitable hall. Before buying, plan foundation, a connected load above 20 kW, extraction and sand logistics. Check all printheads, recoater, box transport and curing station, plus control software level and error logs. As the system is no longer in the range, agree service and spare parts directly with ExOne. Dismantling, transport and recommissioning are a project in their own right.
