Eplus3D EP-P420 — Technical data

The EP-P420 is the larger current polyamide laser sintering system from Eplus3D. Its build volume measures 420 × 420 × 460 mm, and exposure is by a CO2 laser of 55 or 120 W at up to 15 m/s. As on the EP-P280, four separate heating zones provide chamber temperatures of up to 230 °C, so PA 11, PA 12 and PA 6 including filled grades can be processed. The manufacturer quotes up to 2,500 cc/h. A removable build cylinder allows alternating operation: while one job cools, the next is already running in the second cylinder. The system weighs around 3 t.

For a used EP-P420 it is worth checking the number of build cylinders supplied and the condition of cylinder seals and pistons, as the throughput advantage depends on them. Laser power and hours, heating elements, temperature uniformity according to the log, mirrors, protective window and recoater also count. Ask about the refresh rate and powder history, the unpacking and sieving station and the enabled material parameters.
