Eplus3D EP-P3850 — Technical data

The EP-P3850 was the plastic laser sintering system from the period when Eplus3D still belonged to Shining 3D, and it was offered under that brand. A 55 W CO2 laser at up to 7.8 m/s sinters in a 380 × 380 × 500 mm build volume, with a standard layer thickness of 0.1 mm, selectable from 0.08 to 0.3 mm. The data sheet lists PA 12, glass-filled PA 12, PP, TPU, PE and TPE as materials. The system measures 1.4 × 1.3 × 2.45 m, weighs around 1.6 t and needs three-phase power, nitrogen and compressed air. In the current manufacturer range, the EP-P280 and EP-P420 cover this class.

Anyone considering a used EP-P3850 should first clarify whether Eplus3D still supplies spare parts such as laser source, scanner, heaters and control components and continues to support the old software. Check laser hours, mirrors and protective window, temperature control, recoater and cylinder seals. The scope of delivery should include an unpacking and sieving station, powder mixer and documented parameter sets, otherwise getting started becomes laborious.
