Eplus3D EP-M400S — Technical data

The EP-M400S appeared at the start of 2024 as a revised version of the EP-M400 and today forms the basis of Eplus3D's Forge Line. Build volume, laser options of one to four fibre lasers at 500, 700 or 1,000 W, layer thicknesses and a theoretical build rate of up to 210 cc/h largely match the EP-M400. New features are a top-filled powder hopper, a recoater that spreads in both directions, refilling without interruption, three-stage filtration with back-flushing and an enclosure about ten per cent smaller. The software offers four operating modes that combine recoating speed and laser assignment, and allows open parameter changes.

A used EP-M400S should be assessed together with its peripherals: if the ultrasonic sieve and automatic powder feeder are included, handling effort drops considerably. Check the number and power of the lasers, calibration reports for the overlap zones, back-flush filter and permanent filter element, and the mechanics of the bidirectional recoater. As the model is young, have remaining warranty, service history and the transferability of the parameter packages confirmed by the manufacturer where possible.

1 · Buy

Matching used machines for this material and build volume.

2 · Let us search

Nothing suitable? We will search for you – or get an e-mail as soon as a matching machine comes in.

3 · Have parts printed

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
