Eplus3D EP-M1250 — Technical data

With the EP-M1250, Eplus3D entered the metre class at formnext in November 2022. The build volume measures 1,250 × 1,250 × 1,350 mm; at the presentation the manufacturer quoted an edge length of 1,258 mm. Nine fibre lasers of 500 W each, optionally up to 1,000 W, each work their own field; the current table also mentions a variant with 16 lasers. Up to 540 cc/h is theoretically possible, and the substrate heating reaches 200 °C. The system weighs around 50 t and measures almost 9.7 × 5 × 6 m. According to the trade press, Eplus3D had placed more than a hundred metre-class systems by 2026.

A used EP-M1250 is an investment project, not an off-the-shelf purchase. Year of manufacture, number of lasers and retrofits, calibration of the nine fields including the seam zones, and the condition of filter, recoater and powder loop should be assessed beforehand by an expert or the manufacturer. Dismantling, transport in several modules, foundation, crane and recommissioning cause considerable additional costs. Clarify export controls and service commitments for the new site in writing.

1 · Buy

Matching used machines for this material and build volume.

2 · Let us search

Nothing suitable? We will search for you – or get an e-mail as soon as a matching machine comes in.

3 · Have parts printed

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
