EOS Mischstation FORMIGA P 1x0 — Technical data

The mixing station for the FORMIGA P 100 and P 110 is used to blend used and fresh plastic powder evenly before the next build job. In laser sintering, unfused powder ages from the heat in the build chamber, so it is refreshed with virgin powder in a fixed ratio to keep parts dimensionally accurate and surfaces uniform. EOS listed the station as an accessory in the FORMIGA P 100 data sheet at 700 × 500 × 1,000 mm, and EOS also names a Mixing Station for the FORMIGA P 110 Velocis. Used stations are offered in roller mixer design.

When buying, check whether mixing containers and holders fit the existing powder containers and whether the station is complete. Inspect drive, bearings and seals, electrical safety and suitability for combustible dusts. As EOS has discontinued the FORMIGA platform, matching containers and spare parts will increasingly be available only second-hand; a complete station with containers is therefore worth more than a bare frame.
