EOS EOSINT S 750 — Technical data

The EOSINT S 750 is EOS's sand machine: it sinters neither plastic nor metal but Croning moulding material, i.e. foundry sand coated with synthetic resin, and builds cores and moulds for metal casting directly from CAD data. The maximum core size is 720 × 380 × 380 mm. Like its predecessor, the EOSINT S 700, it works with two lasers; new, according to trade press from 2003, was a patented dual-focus technique that exposes the inner areas of parts much faster. A foundry user spoke at the time of up to twice the productivity. Typical customers were foundries and makers of casting prototypes needing cores without a core box. The machine is no longer offered.

Used S 750 machines are rare and usually come from foundries. Because hardly any technical data has been published, the data sheet, manuals and service records should be part of the offer. Check both lasers and scanners, the recoater, the sand dust extraction and the controls. Before buying, also clarify whether Croning sand of a suitable grain size can be obtained and who can still service the machine.
