Envisiontec Vector Hi-Res 3SP — Technical data
The Vector Hi-Res 3SP is an EnvisionTEC resin printer for larger parts that works not with a projector but with the company's own 3SP technology. The abbreviation stands for Scan, Spin and Selectively Photocure: light is guided line by line across the resin surface and cures only the required areas, similar to laser stereolithography. According to trade press, the build area measures 300 × 175 mm with up to 275 mm of height; the XY grid is around 50 µm and layer thickness 50 to 100 µm. The Hi-Res version arrived at the end of 2016 as the successor to the Vector 3SP with roughly double the resolution. The 192 kg machine has its own PC with touchscreen.
For a used purchase it is decisive that the 3SP line was a special EnvisionTEC development and is no longer offered. Spare parts for the exposure unit and drives, service technicians and the special 3SP resins such as E-Tool or ABS Tough must therefore be clarified beforehand. Check operating hours, exposure power, vat and mechanics, build platform and a working control PC with software. A test print with existing resin is the quickest way to see whether calibration is correct.
