Envisiontec Ultra 3SP — Technical data

The Ultra 3SP is the benchtop model of EnvisionTEC's 3SP range and carries the name of the earlier Ultra DLP printers, but works with line-by-line 3SP exposure (Scan, Spin and Selectively Photocure). Its build volume measures 266 × 178 × 193 mm with a 100 µm XY grid; the Ultra 3SP HD version halves that to 50 µm with the same build volume. In Z it works dynamically between 25 and 100 µm. At just under 90 kg and 74 × 76 × 117 cm, it sits on a sturdy table or the optional stand. Typical materials were E-Denstone, ABS-3SP White and E-Glass for dental models, concept models and clear parts.

A used Ultra 3SP is a manageable package, but technically a niche solution no longer in production. The nameplate shows whether it is the standard or the HD version and which mains voltage is intended, as the data sheet states 100 to 127 V. After that, the exposure unit, vat, platform and mechanics matter, as does the control computer with software. Because 3SP resins are special, the source of material and spare parts should be settled before buying.
