Envisiontec Perfactory Micro Ortho — Technical data

The Perfactory Micro Ortho is the orthodontic version of EnvisionTEC's compact Micro printer. The same 13 kg housing measuring 23 × 18 × 58 cm holds a much larger build volume of 100 × 75 × 100 mm, exposed by LED DLP at a 98 µm XY grid and 50 to 100 µm layer thickness. According to the data sheet it builds up to 20 mm of height per hour. The target application is dental arch models over which aligners and splints are thermoformed in practice or lab; EnvisionTEC provided the resins Ortho Tough M and E-Denstone M Peach for this. The unit belongs to the older Perfactory generation and is no longer in the range.

Anyone looking for a used Micro Ortho for a practice should first clarify resin supply, since the system is matched to the EnvisionTEC materials named above. After that, the brightness of the LED, a tight and undamaged vat, a flat build platform and the dimensional accuracy of a test model matter. Operation requires a PC with the matching software. For models used in patient care, documentation and cleaning records are advisable.
