Envisiontec Einstein Pro XL — Technical data
The Einstein Pro XL is the large model of the Einstein dental printers that Desktop Health introduced in early 2022 with EnvisionTEC technology. Unlike the Einstein and Einstein Pro, it uses a 4K DLP chip at 385 nm, enlarging the build area to about 249 × 140 mm with 165 mm of height. According to trade press, the native grid is 92 µm, or 45 µm with pixel shifting, and layer thickness is dynamic between 25 and 150 µm. The unit is no longer a benchtop printer but around 1.60 m tall and about 68 kg in weight. It is intended for labs that want to produce many models, splints or denture bases per build job.
Used, the Pro XL pays off mainly for high-throughput labs. Because the unit is floor-standing, plan for space, transport and a level surface. Check projector hours and uniformity of exposure across the large area, vat, platform and the function of the pixel shift. Also decisive are valid material approvals, transferable software and a settled supply of dental resins following the change of ownership at EnvisionTEC.
