DyeMansion Powershot S — Technical data
The Powershot S is the sister system to the Powershot C, but rather than depowdering it compacts the surface. DyeMansion calls the process PolyShot Surfacing: beads are fired with compressed air at parts that have already been cleaned and flatten the peaks of the powder structure without removing material. The result is a semi-gloss, closed surface that is easier to dye and to clean. The basket of 600 mm diameter has 26 litres of usable volume, and a cycle typically takes five to fifteen minutes. Housing and weight match the Powershot C, and the compressed air demand reaches 2.5 m³/min at 7 bar.
For a used Powershot S the compressor at the new site matters most, because results suffer without sufficient air volume. Check nozzles, media circuit, filters and the soft basket lining, and ask about the type and age of the blasting beads. The stored programs for PA12 and PA11 are valuable and should be kept. Clarify whether DyeMansion offers maintenance and spare parts for the year of build and whether the system was previously also used for depowdering.
