DyeMansion DM60 — Technical data
The DM60 is the industrial dyeing system from DyeMansion and colours polymer parts from powder bed fusion, mainly polyamides from SLS, MJF and SAF. In an 80-litre chamber parts are immersed in dye solution at up to 115 °C; on PA 2200 the colour penetrates about 0.2 mm. Each run holds roughly one build job from an HP Jet Fusion 4200/5200, and a cycle takes about 150 minutes. Colours come as cartridges in four sizes whose RFID chip transfers the process parameters to the machine. It needs 400 V at 16 A, demineralised water, compressed air and a waste water connection. The Reservoir for black dyeing and the ROS water treatment are available as additions.
With a used DM60, first ask for year of build and software version and whether current RFID cartridges are recognised. Check heater, pumps, valves and chamber seal, as well as scale deposits caused by poor water quality. Water treatment at the new site and approved waste water disposal are important. Remaining cartridges have a shelf life. Ask for the service log, colour recipes and whether DyeMansion will support the machine after a change of owner.
