DWS XPRO Q — Technical data

The XPRO Q builds on the XPRO S housing but exposes its 300 × 300 × 300 mm build volume with four BlueEdge lasers at once, each with its own galvanometer. This splits the platform into sub-fields and shortens build time when fully loaded. Layer thickness ranges from 10 to 100 µm depending on the resin; with the HR laser the system is called XPRO QHR. A built-in touchscreen PC controls printing. DWS still offers the model, and its dimensions and 500 kg weight match the XPRO S.

With four lasers, each one must be checked when buying used: operating hours, output and how well the fields align with each other. A test print across the whole platform reveals offsets or brightness differences at the field boundaries. Calibrating the four scanners is a job for DWS service; a recent report belongs with the offer. The room should hold 20 to 25 °C at 60 per cent humidity. As with the XPRO S, transport and installation need lifting gear and enough ceiling height.
