DWS XFAB 2000 — Technical data

The XFAB 2000 is a desktop stereolithography printer from DWS of Thiene near Vicenza and was presented at Formnext 2017. It continues the first XFAB of 2015: a BlueEdge solid-state laser draws each layer into a resin vat via a galvanometer scanner, and the cylindrical build chamber measures 180 mm in diameter and 180 mm in height. Layer thickness ranges from 10 to 100 µm depending on the resin. The unit weighs 31 kg, runs on an external 24 V power supply and receives print data via USB.

The XFAB 2000 is designed for DWS resin cartridges; third-party resins are not documented. Anyone buying used should therefore check that the required resins are still available and look at the expiry date of leftover stock. Vat and build platform are wear parts, and scratches on the vat floor disturb the laser beam. The Nauta and Fictor software in the XFAB edition runs on a Windows PC; licence and installation data should be included. Laser output and calibration are best judged with a test print.

1 · Buy

Matching used machines for this material and build volume.

2 · Let us search

Nothing suitable? We will search for you – or get an e-mail as soon as a matching machine comes in.

3 · Have parts printed

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
