DWS DW 028XLHR — Technical data

The DW 028XLHR is the small benchtop printer in DWS's current jewellery range and is aimed at workshops, designers and universities. It shares its housing with the older 028J Plus but offers a build volume of 100 × 100 × 100 mm and the HR laser as standard for fine detail. A BlueEdge solid-state laser exposes layers from 10 to 100 µm via a galvanometer. The unit weighs 56 kg, draws 400 W and, with no display of its own, is controlled from a PC with Nauta+ and Fictor.

For small jewellery businesses a used 028XLHR is a way into DWS laser stereolithography. Check whether the technology upgrade offered by the manufacturer has already been fitted, as this affects specification and value. Inspect vat and platform, laser hours and the quality of a test print with fine prongs or pavé settings. Software licences and the control PC belong with it. DWS castable resins age in the bottle; it is best not to buy leftover stock if its date is unclear.

1 · Buy

Matching used machines for this material and build volume.

2 · Let us search

Nothing suitable? We will search for you – or get an e-mail as soon as a matching machine comes in.

3 · Have parts printed

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
