DMG Mori LASERTEC 65 DED hybrid 2nd Generation — Technical data
DMG MORI presented the LASERTEC 65 DED hybrid 2nd Generation at its open house in Pfronten in early 2026. Milling and powder deposition are joined by turning, grinding, laser preheating and 3D scanning. Travels remain 735, 650 and 560 mm, and workpieces up to Ø 840 × 350 mm or Ø 680 × 400 mm and 600 kg are possible. The laser delivers up to 3,000 W, with an infrared or blue source. New are the multiJet nozzle, thermal imaging, melt pool and side cameras, and CELOS X with SINUMERIK ONE. DMG MORI quotes a 35 per cent higher build rate.
As the machine appeared in 2026, there will hardly be any used offers at first. If one comes up, the exact configuration should be documented: which laser source, which of the six processes are unlocked and whether the cameras with closed-loop control are fitted. The argon-pressurised powder containers of 0.5, 2.3 and 5 litres should be handed over complete. Transfer of CELOS X apps and warranty matters, as do axis calibration records. DMG MORI does not publish dimensions and weight; ask the manufacturer for transport and foundation planning.
