DMG Mori LASERTEC 30 SLM 3rd Generation — Technical data

With the LASERTEC 30 SLM 3rd Generation, DMG MORI launched a newly designed powder-bed system in 2024, with sales from September. The build volume grew to 325 × 325 × 400 mm, and workpieces may weigh up to 400 kg. One, two or four fibre lasers of 600 or 1,000 W work with full overlap at an 80 µm focus and layers from 30 µm. For the first time in the series there is an exchangeable build container. A thermally symmetrical cast frame, a Magnescale scale on the Z axis and a floating process chamber are meant to improve dimensional accuracy. Operation is via CELOS X and easyAM.

Used systems of this generation are still rare. If one appears, the number of lasers decides output and value; it should be documented with the serial numbers of the laser sources. Also check the number of exchangeable containers, the rePLUG modules with ultrasonic sieve and the condition of the filters. As the machine is young, a manufacturer warranty or service contract may be transferable. The manufacturer does not publish dimensions and weight; ask for them in advance for transport and floor load.
