DMG Mori LASERTEC 30 SLM 2nd Generation — Technical data

DMG MORI presented the LASERTEC 30 SLM 2nd Generation in autumn 2018. The build volume stayed at 300 × 300 × 300 mm; new were a closed housing in the so-called stealth design, operation via CELOS with integrated CAM programming and the rePLUG powder module with a closed powder circuit. According to dealers, an ytterbium fibre laser of 600 or 1,000 W works with layers of 20 to 100 µm. Parts can also be built onto pre-milled base bodies. The LASERTEC 12 SLM was developed on its platform; the third generation followed in 2024.

This generation turns up used more often than the other LASERTEC SLM models. Dealers quote around 1.3 tonnes, 17.3 kVA at 400 V and an average argon consumption of about 72 litres per hour at 6 to 8 bar. Before buying, clarify laser power and hours, protective glass, recirculation filters and the number of rePLUG modules, as each module stands for one material. A service record and a test part help the assessment. CELOS and CAM licences are not automatically transferable; DMG MORI should confirm this before the change of owner.

1 · Buy

Matching used machines for this material and build volume.

2 · Let us search

Nothing suitable? We will search for you – or get an e-mail as soon as a matching machine comes in.

3 · Have parts printed

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
