DMG Mori LASERTEC 30 SLM — Technical data

The LASERTEC 30 SLM was DMG MORI's first powder-bed system and was developed together with Realizer of Borchen, in which DMG MORI took a majority stake in February 2017. Orders opened in June 2017. The build volume is 300 × 300 × 300 mm, a fibre laser of 400 W to 1 kW is fitted depending on the version, and layer thickness ranges from 20 to 100 µm. A cartridge powder module allows material changes in less than two hours. Software: RDesigner and ROperator from Realizer. The second generation followed at the end of 2018.

With a machine from the first series, software is the main question, since the successors use CELOS; clarify with DMG MORI which updates and licences are still available for RDesigner and ROperator. Check the actual laser power, laser hours, protective glass and filters as well as the powder cartridges supplied. According to the manufacturer, argon consumption was about 70 litres per hour. At just over 2.3 metres wide and 1.9 metres high the machine is usually easy to bring in, but ask for the weight beforehand.
