DMG Mori LASERTEC 12 SLM — Technical data

The LASERTEC 12 SLM is DMG MORI's small powder-bed system and had its world premiere at Formnext 2018. It uses the same platform as the second-generation LASERTEC 30 SLM, but its build volume is only 125 × 125 × 200 mm. A fibre laser of 200 W, optionally 400 W, works with a 35 µm focus and layers of 20 to 100 µm. It also has a measuring system with 1 µm resolution and the rePLUG powder module. Control is via CELOS with the RDesigner CAM software, which comes from the Realizer side.

When buying used, the rePLUG module is the key point: running several materials requires one module per material. Check laser hours, laser power level, protective glass and the two recirculation filters with their last replacement date. Because the focus is very fine, a recent calibration report for the optics should be available. DMG MORI publishes dimensions and weight only in its customer portal; the seller should provide them. Also clarify whether CELOS and CAM licences pass to the new owner.
