Delfin MTL451 1/2D INERT — Technical data

The MTL451 1/2D INERT is the version of the MTL451 from Delfin Vacuums' Inert range, designed for reactive, self-igniting metal dust such as aluminium, titanium and magnesium. The dust is captured in a neutralising liquid; Delfin states an efficiency above 95 per cent, backed by third-party testing to EN 17348. The marking II 1/2D Ex h tb IIIC matches the standard version: zone 20 inside, zone 21 outside. The 1.1 kW brushless motor delivers up to 215 m³/h, and the liquid charge is 10 litres. Filtration uses a class M star filter and an H14 absolute filter; the unit weighs 52 kg.

With a used INERT unit, liquid management comes first: which neutralising liquid was used, when was it last changed and how was the sludge disposed of? It should be handed over empty, cleaned and with proof, as residues of reactive powder are a transport and fire hazard. Check seals and the stainless steel container for corrosion and test the clogging indicator. The neutralisation test report and the manual with disposal instructions belong with it. It looks much like the standard version; only the rating plate makes it clear.
