Delfin MTL451 1/2D — Technical data

The MTL451 1/2D is a mid-sized industrial vacuum from Delfin Vacuums for combustible dust. The marking II 1/2D Ex h tb IIIC allows zone 20 inside and zone 21 outside. A 1.1 kW brushless single-phase motor on 230 V delivers up to 215 m³/h at 2,250 mm water column. The stainless steel container holds 45 litres; the antistatic class M star filter of 20,000 cm² is cleaned manually and followed by an H14 absolute filter. The unit weighs 57 kg. In its AM brochure Delfin assigns the zone 21/22 vacuums to non-reactive polymer and metal powders; for reactive powders there is the MTL451 1/2D INERT.

For a used unit, Ex documentation, motor and filters matter most. The brushless drive wears little but should start without hesitation and draw evenly. Inspect the large star filter for tears, caking and residual powder, and replace the H14 filter if in doubt. For units from metal printing, ask whether reactive powders were collected even though the model is not designed for them. Seals on container and motor head determine dust tightness; hoses and the accessory kit should be complete.
