Delfin MTL301 1/3D — Technical data

The MTL301 1/3D is the most compact industrial vacuum on Delfin Vacuums' additive manufacturing page. It is built for combustible fine dust in potentially explosive areas; the marking II 1/3D Ex h tb IIIC stands for zone 20 inside and zone 22 outside. A 1.1 kW bypass motor on 230 V produces up to 180 m³/h and 2,500 mm water column. Dust collects in a 40-litre stainless steel container and is filtered by an antistatic class M star filter and an H14 absolute filter. At 26 kg it is easy to move between machines. For reactive metal powders Delfin offers dedicated INERT units; this model is not one of them.

When buying used, first check the rating plate and declaration of conformity, as operation in an Ex zone is not permitted without them. Find out which powders have been collected, since residues of other alloys contaminate material recovered later. Budget for a new star filter and H14 filter if their history is unclear. Listen to the bypass motor, and make sure hose and nozzles are antistatic and earthed. The 1/3D rating does not cover zone 21 outside.
