Delfin DM2 1/2D — Technical data

The DM2 1/2D is the large industrial vacuum of Delfin Vacuums' DM2/DM3 range, built for combustible and conductive dust in areas where an explosive atmosphere occurs frequently. The marking II 1/2D Ex h tb IIIC stands for zone 20 inside and zone 21 outside. A 2.2 kW brushless single-phase motor on 230 V and 16 A reaches 430 m³/h and 2,250 mm water column. The stainless steel container holds 100 litres, and the class M star filter offers 30,000 cm², backed by an H14 absolute filter. At 87 kg it is a wheeled unit for larger powder quantities. For reactive powders Delfin offers the DM2 1/2D INERT.

When buying used, think of the power supply first: 16 A calls for a dedicated, appropriately fused socket. Given the large container, the seller should show that container and filters have been fully emptied and cleaned, and name the powders handled so far. Star filter, H14 filter and container seal are wear parts. Wheels, chassis and earthing connection are often neglected on mobile units. If the rating plate or ATEX documents are missing, check in advance whether Delfin can supply them.
