Creaform MetraSCAN-R BLACK Elite HD — Technical data

The MetraSCAN-R BLACK Elite HD is the high-resolution variant of the robot-guided MetraSCAN-R. Instead of 45 it projects 69 blue laser lines, captures 3 million measurements per second and resolves 0.015 mm instead of 0.025 mm; in return the scanning area shrinks to 170 × 190 mm and the depth of field to 100 mm. This makes smaller features such as pins from 0.5 mm and steps from 0.015 mm measurable. Accuracy remains 0.025 mm. Like the standard model it is tracked by the C-Track and programmed offline.

Anyone buying a used Elite HD should check whether existing measurement programmes are adapted to the smaller scanning area, as cycle time is likely to rise compared with the standard model. The package includes C-Track, calibration bar, robot adapter and cables; the manufacturer has to reassign the licences for Creaform.OS LTS and Automation. The acceptance report to ISO 10360 and VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 should identify the HD version, since both scanners look alike. Check laser aperture and cameras for contamination and ask about CreaCare status.
