The MetraSCAN-R BLACK Elite is the robot-guided offshoot of the MetraSCAN for automated quality control. The scanner is mounted on industrial robots or cobots from various makers and tracked by the C-Track, so robot and part can keep moving during measurement. With 45 blue laser lines it reaches 1.8 million measurements per second, 0.025 mm accuracy and a volumetric accuracy of 0.064 mm in 9.1 m³. The scanner weighs 2.91 kg; programming is done offline with the Automation module.

A used MetraSCAN-R may come from a dismantled measuring cell. What matters is exactly what is included: scanner, C-Track, calibration bar, robot adapter, cables and control PC. The manufacturer must transfer the licences for Creaform.OS LTS and the Automation module to the buyer, as well as existing measurement programmes. An acceptance report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 and ISO 10360 should be recent. Check whether your own robot can handle the weight and permitted inertia, and ask about a CreaCare contract and support with robot integration.
