Creaform MetraSCAN BLACK2 — Technical data

The MetraSCAN BLACK2 is the newest model in the MetraSCAN range. It combines C-Track tracking with a stand-alone mode without tracker, for which the manufacturer states 0.020 mm + 0.040 mm/m. With 46 blue laser lines it reaches 2.8 million measurements per second, and accuracy is 0.025 mm. With the C-Track the distance extends to 6.0 m, and in the largest 46.7 m³ measuring volume a volumetric accuracy of 0.100 mm is given. An automatic shutter is also new.

Used BLACK2 units are likely to be rare, which makes checking the licence situation all the more important. The manufacturer must transfer Creaform.OS and the Metrology Suite modules to the buyer, and a running CreaCare contract should pass over too. Whether a matching C-Track for the full range is included decides its usefulness. Acceptance report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 and ISO 10360, calibration artefacts, targets for stand-alone mode, cables and power supplies belong with it. Inspect laser windows, shutter and tracker optics for damage.
