The MetraSCAN BLACK+ Elite is the more accurate version of the C-Track-based MetraSCAN BLACK+. With the same 30 laser lines, the same rate of 1.8 million measurements per second and the same 1.49 kg scanner weight, the manufacturer states 0.025 mm accuracy and a volumetric accuracy of 0.064 mm in the 9.1 m³ volume or 0.075 mm in 16.6 m³. With automatic volume extension the figure is 0.025 mm + 0.015 mm/m. Setup assistance tools for part and fixture set-up are also included.

The Elite values only apply if scanner and C-Track have been calibrated together and accepted to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 and ISO 10360; when buying used, ask for the acceptance report that lists both devices together. The manufacturer must reassign the licence for Creaform.OS, Metrology Suite and the Elite functions to the buyer. Check stand, cables, power supplies and transport case, inspect the C-Track camera optics for scratches and ask about the rating plate and the term of a CreaCare contract.
