Creaform MetraSCAN 750 — Technical data

The MetraSCAN 750 belonged to the MetraSCAN 3D generation that Creaform introduced in April 2016, in sizes 350 and 750 and each as standard and Elite versions. Like today's models it is positioned by a C-Track tracker, so no targets are needed on the part. The press release mentions 480,000 measurements per second and a volumetric accuracy of 0.064 mm, while dealer information cites up to 0.030 mm accuracy, 0.050 mm resolution and parts from 0.2 to 10 m. The scanner weighs 1.38 kg. The BLACK models followed later.

A used MetraSCAN 750 must come with its C-Track, because scanner and tracker are calibrated together; a scanner on its own is of little use. Clarify licence and version of the measurement software, whether the manufacturer transfers the licence to the new owner and whether current software still supports the unit. The rating plate and acceptance report to VDI/VDE 2634 show whether it is a standard or Elite version. Check calibration artefacts, cables, power supplies and stand, and find out whether calibration service is still offered for this generation.
