Creaform MaxSHOT NEXT Elite — Technical data

The MaxSHOT NEXT Elite is the more accurate version of the MaxSHOT NEXT photogrammetry camera and is used when large parts with tight tolerances have to be measured. In the same 0.79 kg housing, the manufacturer states a volumetric accuracy of 0.015 mm/m to VDI/VDE 2634 part 1 and an average deviation of 0.005 mm/m. Combined with an EVO-series HandySCAN, 0.020 mm + 0.015 mm/m is achieved. Several Creaform data sheets explicitly quote their best volumetric figures with this unit.

When buying a used MaxSHOT NEXT Elite, proof of Elite accuracy is what counts: an inspection report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 1 and calibrated scale bars with a valid certificate should be included, otherwise a recalibration is needed. Photogrammetry evaluation in Creaform.OS or the Metrology Suite requires a licence; clarify transfer to the buyer beforehand. Check coded targets, case and cables, confirm the Elite version on the rating plate and ask whether the unit was covered by a CreaCare contract.
