Creaform MaxSHOT NEXT — Technical data
The MaxSHOT NEXT is a handheld photogrammetry camera used to measure the target network on large parts before the actual scan. The reference points obtained this way improve the volumetric accuracy of HandySCAN, Go!SCAN, MetraSCAN and HandyPROBE on parts from 2 to 10 m. According to the manufacturer it reaches a volumetric accuracy of 0.025 mm/m to VDI/VDE 2634 part 1, with an average deviation of 0.008 mm/m. The unit weighs 0.79 kg. Combined with an EVO scanner, Creaform quotes 0.020 mm + 0.025 mm/m.
A MaxSHOT NEXT is only usable together with calibrated scale bars and coded targets, so when buying used ask whether scale bars with calibration certificate, target sets and transport case are included. Evaluation runs in the Creaform software, whose photogrammetry function must be licensed; clarify transferability to the new owner with the manufacturer. An inspection report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 1 proves accuracy. Check optics and connecting cable and decide which of your own scanners the unit will be used with.
