Creaform HandySCAN SILVER Elite — Technical data

The HandySCAN SILVER Elite was the more accurate variant of the 2024 SILVER series. Compared with the SILVER it adds an extra line to the 14 blue laser lines and, according to the brochure, reaches up to 0.030 mm accuracy and a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 mm + 0.060 mm/m. The 310 × 350 mm scanning area, part size of 5 cm to 4 m and 0.94 kg weight are the same. Functions such as live meshing and smart resolution ran in VXelements. Its successor is the HandySCAN PRO, which states the same accuracy.

A used SILVER Elite is worthwhile mainly when the VXelements licence is included and the manufacturer confirms its transfer; ask at the same time whether a move to Creaform.OS is offered. The acceptance report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 must show the Elite values, otherwise it may be a SILVER. Calibration plate, USB cable, power supply and targets belong with it. Check laser windows and camera glass for scratches, run a trial scan on a known part and ask about the remaining term of a CreaCare contract.
